Meet the visionaries

We met in NYC while working together in one of the world’s largest banks. Despite cross country moves, new jobs, and path altering life changes we stayed close, united by a common thread- our belief that there was more to our respective journeys than the stories our resume told. In a nondescript bar, during what would be one of many reunions, we sipped wine, exchanged corporate war stories and discovered a shared purpose. On that fateful evening, Lacuna was born.

Melody Love

Hi! My name is Melody and I live in NYC with my amazing husband and toy poodle. I am a seasoned talent and development professional with over 15 years of coaching and facilitation experience in various global organizations. Throughout my career, I have worked closely with talented individuals at all levels ranging from recent college graduates to C-suite executives.  In my journey, I saw diverse women stumble over invisible roadblocks and question the value of their contributions. When I sat across from them in meetings and at work events, I saw myself in them too.  I quickly realized that there was an extraordinary opportunity to leverage my experience in a different way- to help build a community where women empowered women.

Lacuna, like the immense potential nestled deeply inside all of us, was always there waiting for me to discover it.  For years I struggled with finding the right words and insight to dislodge it from my conscious when, finally, I asked myself a simple question: How am I going to save the world? In my search for the answer, I looked everywhere I could for inspiration. It forced me to face the things that have always held me back and understand the interference that distracted me. But as I dug deep, I quickly realized that Lacuna was already alive; it existed in my experiences, in my failures and in the defining moments that reminded me to move from a place of authenticity and humility. Lacuna was bigger than me, but it was within my power to manifest it and I soon realized that all I needed was a little magic- enter Aeby, stage left.
